Kids have fine and sensitive hair that incorporates during adolescence. In summer, due to their constant exposure to the sun, their delicate hair suffers more from breakage and knots. Not to mention seawater or pool, which weakens the hair cuticle, an outer layer of the hair. Therefore, there is an extra need for special products. Check out our tips for treating your child's wires correctly.
- Remove the sea and pool water immediately. After the dive, if possible, shower to remove chlorine or salt residues, which damage the hair. Hat and cap are great allies not only for skin but also for hair and delicate scalp.
- Always use children's lines of products. The shampoo needs to be indicated for daily use, hypoallergenic, and tested ophthalmologically (it does not burn in the eyes!). The best options are those enriched with vitamins and vegetable oils, such as olive oil, which naturally moisturizes the hair. Wash the scalp, making circular movements, and the length and ends, gently. Click here to check all our brands and products for children.
- Always hydrate. Children with long hair can use the conditioner, as long as it is also from kid’s lines of products. Use a small amount of the product, which should be applied only from the length to the ends, and rinse very well to remove the cream completely.
- Dry with a soft, fluffy towel. Remove the water, squeezing strand by strand, but without rubbing the strands so it won’t form knots.
- Be very gentle when combing. Avoid combing dry hair. The ideal is to detangle it while it is wet, starting from the middle to the ends and only after that, the root to the ends.
